Jack Osbourne’s co-star issues plea over grieving Sharon as ‘vulnerable’ 72-year-old comes to terms with loss
Jack Osbourne’s co-star has issued a plea for grieving Sharon following the death of Black Sabbath star Ozzy last week.
Ozzy and Sharon’s son Jack, 39, recently appeared in Cooking with the Stars alongside Love Island star Ekin-Su Culculoglu, with the series filmed before his father’s death at 76.
Earlier this week, the Osbourne family were seen in heartbreaking pictures leading the Prince of Darkness’ funeral at his hometown in Birmingham.
It was announced last Monday that the rock legend had died surrounded by his family and in the UK, just days after Black Sabbath’s farewell gig.
Joining Good Morning Britain on Friday, Culculoglu opened up about her friend’s grief and issued a plea for former X Factor judge Sharon, 72.
Culculoglu, who last year appeared on Celebrity Big Brother alongside Sharon, is set to feature in ITV’s cooking show alongside Jack.
Chatting to Good Morning Britain hosts Kate Garraway and Adil Ray, she expressed her sorrow to the Osbournes during the difficult period.
“I did Big Brother with Sharon and I just did Cooking with the Stars with Jack. Sharon is such a motherly figure and I think she’s just so loving,” she stated.
“He [Ozzy] was everything to Sharon and the family so for this to happen so tragically, I just want Sharon to look after herself.
“She’s very vulnerable and I’m sending all my love to their family. Jack – such a sweet guy.
“A loss is always quite heartbreaking and when it’s such a known person and an iconic person who’s passed away, it hits us all.”
Ray went on to note that the family are having to publicly grieve, prompting Culculoglu to issue a plea to the public.
“We all obviously are involved in it but I feel like it is quite private though. They do need some privacy and some time to grieve privately as well,” the 30-year-old noted.
A procession was held on Wednesday to honour the Prince of Darkness ahead of his private funeral.
Jack, alongside sister Kelly, could be seen comforting their bereaved mother, with the family joined by rarely-seen sibling Aimee at the Black Sabbath bridge and bench.
Sharon broke down in tears during the procession as she witnessed the outpouring of love from huge crowds of fans.
It was noted Ozzy had been “desperate to come home” to the UK in recent years after decades of living in LA with the family.
The couple had made plans for the re-location, and his death took place in the UK thanks to the recent concert.

Announcing the shock news last week, the Osbournes issued a statement that read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.
