ITV The Masked Singer’s Wolf dealt cruel blow hours before series finale after fans ‘work out’ singer’s identity
The Masked Singer star Wolf could have their chances at winning this weekend pulled from beneath them as fans have claimed to have “worked out” the singer’s identity.
Scottish singer Marti Pellow has been one name that has been thrown about between viewers, judges and bookmakers since they first stepped onto the stage.
However, since the character’s most recent performance viewers have become more determined that Pellow is under the mask.
During Wolf’s debut and VT, their initial clue began with them saying: “You won’t want to keep this wolf from your door.”
They added: “If the three little pigs had listened to my advice, no huffin’, no puffin’, would have blown those houses down.”
The character admitted that they have held “dominion” over everything they had seen from the woods, creeks and caves – noting it was their “territory”.
Wolf added: “It might not have been too revolutionary, but I think my opening gambit was a move in the right direction.
“This competition is certainly dramatic, more soap opera than fairytale from my experience.”
Wanting to be at the “top of the food chain”, Wolf claimed that he would be taking home the Masked Singer crown.
Painting a picture of their early life, they said they “traded expectations others might have had”, before setting off down “my own road”.
Davina McCall guessed Simon Le Bon was behind the mask before Mo Gilligan threw out the names Bono and Richard E Grant.
New host Maya Jama decided it could be Phil Spencer or Brendon Urie hiding as the Wolf before Jonathan Ross noted it to be David Tennant or Robert Lindsay.
According to bookmakers Gambling.com, Pellow has odds of 1/3 of being unmasked as Wolf this weekend.
Wolf is the outsider of the three to win the series at 6/4, with Luke Evans being priced at 3/1, and Darren Day having odds of 7/2 at being unmasked as Wolf.
Fans of the show are also adamant that it is Marti Pellow under the mask and have been issuing their responses on their X account.
One noted: “#themaskedsinger @RichardEGrant said that Wolf was Scottish, so it could be Marty Pello.”

“Wolf is 100% Marti Pellow. Such a distinctive vocal style. Have none of The Panel suggested him yet? Saw him at an intimate gig recently – one of the best gigs we’ve ever been to,” another added.
“Wolf had better be Marti Pellow now. I’ve just said I’ll give my husband a tenner if it’s not,” a third penned before someone else noted: “Well done Wolf, you’ve thrown me off tonight.
“I’ve been saying Tony Hadley all series long but this performance, I can hear MARTI PELLOW!!.”
A fifth said: “Richard E Grant saying straight away Wolf is Scottish makes all the rest of them look foolish. I want you to win Marti Pellow.”
Another adamant viewer quipped: “Wolf is definitely #MartiPello I used to be a fan #Themaskedsinger.” (sic)
