ITV The Masked Singer’s Dressed Crab ‘odds-on’ to be unmasked as Grammy-winning artist after glaring evidence
The Masked Singer star Dressed Crab could have already had their identity rumbled by the judges and viewers at home as new data has emerged ahead of the next episode.
Grammy-winning artist Gregory Porter is the current front-runner to be unmasked as the quirky character – with Mo Gilligan already plucking out his name.
Viewers have also shared their thoughts online as to who they think could be hiding under the mask and used the clues from over the weekend to come up with their conclusions.
During Dressed Crab’s debut and VT, they said: “Welcome to my world darlings, you like my aesthetic?
“I’m going for crab, Dressed Crab, it’s a look that never goes out of fashion. Good style can make anybody feel like a somebody.”
The character continued: “Just marvel at some of my creations, my work has lit up the UK. But I’m not just about the material things in life.
“I’ve scuttled all over the blue planet and now I’m here on The Masked Singer stage, ready to ‘crab’ hold of the competition with both incisors.”
Other clues within the VT included an American football helmet, a non-disclosure agreement, gold coins, and some film rolls.
After their performance of Lean on Me by Bill Withers, the character gave one last riddle that left some of the judges baffled.
”I don’t want to be beaten, there’s too much at stake, I’ve a taste for the high life, my rivals should quake.”
Jonathan Ross opted for Jamie Foxx to be behind the mask, while new judge Jama chose Billy Porter.
Gilligan went for a different Porter – Gregory – while guest judge Sir Mo Farah selected diving superstar Tom Daley, leaving Davina McCall convinced it was singer The Weeknd.
According to bookmakers Gambling.com, Gregory Porter has 8/13 odds of being unmasked as Dressed Crab.
Fellow US stars Nile Rodgers (11/10) and Billy Porter (2/1) are also in the frame – leaving Jamie Foxx (5/1) and Samuel L. Jackson (8/1) the two outsiders.
Fans of the show were in agreement with Gilligan and took to their X account to claim it was Porter underneath the mask.
One fan wrote: ”Such a soulful performance from Dressed Crab – I hear Gregory Porter!!”

Another added: ”He played American football at university. He’s ‘never out of fashion’ – has a song called ‘In Fashion’. I’m with Mo – Gregory Porter!”
”Crab sounds so much like Gregory Porter,” someone else penned before a fourth noted: “That has to be Gregory Porter!! Could pick him out anywhere!” (sic)
Fans will have to tune into Saturday’s episode to see if Dressed Crab is sent home and ultimately unmasked as the Grammy winner.
