Lynch’s remarks during the bp pulse LIVE event on Monday evening shocked attendees when she addressed the Birmingham crowd with deeply offensive comments.
The 38-year-old wrestler declared: “The only good thing that came outta here died a month ago.”
She continued her inflammatory statement by adding: “But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to L.A. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too.”
The comments were made during WWE’s Monday Night RAW broadcast, with Lynch apparently targeting Birmingham itself whilst referencing Ozzy’s death in July.
The wrestling star’s decision to mock both the city and the recently deceased musician has been widely condemned as crossing professional boundaries.
Kelly responded to Lynch’s comments on Tuesday through an Instagram post, branding the wrestler a “disrespectful dirtbag” in her scathing rebuke.
Her message stated: “Becky Lynch you are a disrespectful dirtbag! Birmingham would not p*** on you if you were on fire.”
The grieving daughter also directed criticism towards WWE’s management for permitting such offensive commentary about her father.
She wrote: “Shame on the WWE for allowing such things to be said about my father and his home!”
Kelly’s social media response included an error where she mistakenly tagged a fan account rather than Lynch’s official profile whilst delivering her angry message.
