‘Definitely not the first!’ Perez Hilton weighs in on Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s ‘very public’ date
Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has shared his thoughts on the recent sighting of pop star Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau together in Montreal, suggesting their public outing was “not the first time”.
Recent images show the pair at a French restaurant, sparking gossip about their possible romantic connection.
Speaking to GB News, Hilton explained: “Well, I don’t know if I’d say she’s with him, but they did go on a very public date earlier this week in Montreal. It was a full day and night, a walk in the park with her dog, dinner just the two of them, and cocktails on a terrace afterwards.
“In my opinion, that probably wasn’t their first meeting. To be that public, I think they’ve hung out a few times at least.
“Now, in America, we don’t have strong feelings either way about Justin Trudeau, but I was surprised by how many people in my comments really don’t like him for a whole range of reasons.
“Katy Perry’s had a rough year too, from the backlash over calling herself an astronaut to criticism around her tour.

“I might have hoped she’d end up with someone a little less polarising, but hey, maybe that makes them a good match.
“They both know what it’s like to be in the spotlight and have a reputation that’s complicated.”
It comes after photos of the pair, published by TMZ, sparked speculation of a blossoming romance.
The pair were photographed at Le Violon, an upscale French restaurant in Montreal, where they dined together during the late evening of July 28.
Images and footage from their meal at the gourmet establishment have since circulated widely across social media platforms.
The timing of these romance rumours has attracted particular interest given Perry’s recent personal circumstances.
In July, Perry and actor Orlando Bloom confirmed their separation after nearly a decade together, ending months of speculation about their relationship status.

In a joint statement released through their representatives on Thursday, the couple revealed they “have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting” their four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is, and always will be, raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect,” the statement said.
