BBC blasted by angry Wimbledon viewers after iPlayer issues on Novak Djokovic clash: ‘Sort it out!’
The BBC have come under fire from angry viewers who have been unable to watch Novak Djokovic in action on the iPlayer.
Wimbledon’s Centre Court hosted the 38-year-old as he faced Flavio Cobolli in the quarter-final as Jannik Sinner took on Ben Shelton on Court One at the same time.
Sinner’s match encountered no problems during BBC’s coverage but the same could not be said for Djokovic.
Those who were trying to watch the 38-year-old in action on the iPlayer found that the stream returned to Sinner’s match despite multiple attempts.
One fan politely asked: “Dear @BBCiPlayer please sort out your viewing options asap. We can’t select Cobolli v Djokovic on Centre Court.”
Another said: “Could whoever is on the afternoon shift at BBC iPlayer please wake up – clicking on the Djokovic match takes you through to the Sinner one! Please fix it!!”

While this fan fumed: “Just tried to get the Djokovic game on iPlayer and it’s only showing the sinner/shelton game when you chose Djokovic game!!!”
And this viewer raged: “So I can’t seem to find Djokovic match on iplayer! I press it ans get sinner match! come on bbc sort it out!”
Fortunately, one viewer found a solution and wrote: “Anyone frustrated by @BBCSport the BBC’S inept coverage of @Wimbledon – the Djokovic link at the top of iPlayer bizarrely takes you to the Sinner match, but theres a second Djokovic link further down.
“It’s really time to give #Wimbledon coverage to someone competent.”
This is not the first time that the BBC have been called out over their coverage of Wimbledon this year.
And not even the first time including Djokovic, whose match against Dan Evans last Thursday was branded ‘shambolic’.
After taking the first set against the Briton, tennis fans were left shocked as the live broadcast inexplicably cut to an empty studio.

The match audio could still be heard but the picture showed an empty room with fans milling around in the background.
This went on for some time before another feed came through of Henman Hill with fans sat watching the match on a big screen.
Eventually after over five minutes, the camera returned to the match while BBC commentators apologised for the technical issues after Djokovic wrapped up the victory.
One tennis fan wrote on X: “God alive, this years coverage is more of a shambles, let’s watch the crowd & then blue screen instead of Djokovic match.”
