Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones appear to have gone public with their rumoured romance after being spotted enjoying a cosy motorbike ride together in Manchester, with Skelton’s arms wrapped tightly around Jones’s waist as they travelled on his Triumph Bonneville bike.
The 41-year-old presenter couldn’t contain her smile as she beamed from ear to ear before being picked up by her co-star for their breakfast outing. The pair appeared comfortable in each other’s company, with Skelton gripping Jones as they made their way through Manchester city centre.
Skelton looked stylish in a brown leather jacket and flared jeans, embodying a ’70s rock chick vibe for their morning outing, whilst Jones kept his look simple in a navy jumper and dark denim jeans, paired with brown leather high-top trainers.
After arriving at their destination, both presenters were seen fixing their hair after removing their helmets. Skelton wore a blue and white striped blouse with ruffled sleeve detailing under her jacket, whilst Jones added a pair of stylish sunglasses as he kept his helmet’s visor open during the ride.
The pair appeared relaxed and happy in each other’s company throughout their breakfast date, with the pair sparking intense speculation about their relationship status, with sources suggesting their friendship has developed into something more meaningful.
According to an insider who spoke to MailOnline: “Helen and Gethin have an extremely close working relationship and there’s a feeling in recent months their friendship has blossomed into a deeper connection.”

The source added: “They’re both keen to keep a lid on it to avoid public scrutiny but there’s no denying their closeness both on and off screen.”
Fans have been quick to notice the chemistry between the pair, with many commenting on social media that they “belong together” and would make “the perfect couple”.
Jones recently fuelled romance rumours when he shared a gushing Instagram post about Skelton following their 24-hour live TV marathon for Comic Relief.
Alongside several images of the pair looking close, he wrote: “A little appreciation post for this super woman @helenskelton. Unbelievable physical and mental resilience… It says a lot that you can spend 24hrs nonstop with someone and still call them an hour later for a debrief.”
Skelton reciprocated the sentiment in her own post, writing: “My dear @gethincjones… You are some man. I don’t publicly say often enough how much love and respect I have for you, my friend because I assume it is well known, but for the record you’re a legend.”
Both Skelton and Jones are currently single, with the Countryfile star having split from her husband, rugby player Richie Myler, in 2022 after nine years of marriage. The former Strictly star shares three children with Myler – Ernie, nine, Louis, eight, and Elsie, three.
Myler has since moved on with Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of Leeds Rhinos president Andrew Thirkill, and they have welcomed two children together, Olivia and Freddie.
Jones, 47, has been single for about two years, having previously been engaged to opera singer Katherine Jenkins.
The pair have been spotted together at several high-profile events, including the BAFTA Television Awards last Sunday where Skelton was photographed leaving barefoot with Jones by her side. According to eyewitnesses, they appeared “tactile” throughout the evening.
Last year, they attended the Burrow Strictly Ball, a charity event set up by the late rugby league star Rob Burrow’s sisters. An eyewitness revealed: “It was very clear that Helen and Gethin were together as a couple at the event.
