ITV The Chase ‘fix’ row explodes as fans rage at ‘joke’ final questions: ‘Should be ashamed!’
Fans of ITV’s The Chase have expressed outrage following Tuesday’s episode, claiming that Chaser Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan was given “ridiculously easy” questions during the final round.
The popular quiz show, hosted by Bradley Walsh, saw a full team of four contestants build an impressive 20-step lead whilst competing for a £20,000 prize pot.
However, viewers were left fuming when Jenny caught the team with 13 seconds to spare, prompting accusations on social media that the show was “fixed” in the Chaser’s favour.
Many fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to vent their frustration at what they perceived as an unfair difficulty level.
The episode featured Toby from London, Becca from Marlow, Sophia from Liverpool and Neil from Manchester, who all performed well in their individual rounds.
Toby earned £5,000 in his Cash Builder round, with Bradley Walsh calling some of his correct answers “jammy” for being “wild guesses”.
Becca also secured £5,000, while Sophia, a clinical scientist for genomics in the NHS, added £4,000 to the pot.
Neil completed the team by contributing £6,000, bringing the total prize fund to £20,000.

All four contestants successfully made it to the final chase, a rare achievement on the show.
Viewers were quick to point out the stark contrast in difficulty between the contestants’ questions and those posed to Jenny.
The team faced challenging questions like “What is the most popular city in Algeria?” and “Pat Rafter Arena is a Brisbane stadium court for what sport?”
Meanwhile, Jenny was asked seemingly simpler questions such as “In which century was 1812?” and “What UK airport is known as NCL?”
Other notably easy questions for the Chaser included “A clumsy person is said to be like a bull in a what?” and “What restaurant chain calls its employees Nandocas?”
This disparity left many viewers questioning the fairness of the competition.
Fans took to social media to express their outrage at what they perceived as unfair treatment.
One viewer wrote on X: “Most of those questions were ridiculously easy,” with another adding: “The Vixen’s questions were far far too easy.”
“Why were her questions so easy?” questioned someone else, while a fourth stated: “Jenny’s questions were ridiculously easy. Rigged.”
The backlash continued with viewers suggesting the outcome was predetermined.
Some even claimed that host Bradley Walsh “might just as well have asked Jenny her name address, and date of birth” as her questions were “a joke.”
Others didn’t hold back, with one more stating: “Bradley might just as well have asked Jenny her name address, and date of birth – her questions were a joke. ITV, you should be ashamed of yourselves!”
Another frustrated fan commented: “Them questions were easy peasy for me, so to ask the smartest chaser them questions is a fix.” (sic)
