ITV CBB spot ‘show error’ as Chris Hughes refers to Katy Perry space trip: ‘How do they know?’
The penultimate Celebrity Big Brother of the series aired on Thursday, and some fans believed they’ve unearthed a blunder from the reality show.
As the finalists became emotional over their letters from home and the prospect of saying goodbye, one small conversation between Love Island star Chris Hughes, 32, and Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd, raised eyebrows.
Referencing last week’s Blue Origin space flight, which saw singer Perry joining an all-female team for a controversial launch, Hughes quizzed Shepherd on his thoughts about outer space.
He asked the actor if he would “ever go into space like Katy Perry did,” admitting he’d be too scared.
Shephard was confused by the information and asked why Perry had been invited to go on the space flight.
However, Hughes’ knowledge of the trip, which caused a huge media storm last week, confused some viewers, as Big Brother housemates are supposed to be cut off from the outside world.
However, some were quick to point out that while the flight took place while the housemates were already in the Big Brother house, it had been announced months ago.
Still, many were suspicious of the apparent rule break and flooded social media with their thoughts on the “error”.

Several more demanded answers, with another commenting: “How do they know Katy Perry went to space??? #CBB #CBBUK.”

“Chris talking about how good Katy Perrys space trip was when the show launched a week before she actually went #CBB #CBBUK,” another noted.
However, some responded to explain the plan for the flight was public information long before the show’s launch.

Meanwhile, drama is still being stirred outside of the house, with the three housemates who were evicted on Tuesday’s brutal elimination prompting further discussion among fans.
Patsy Palmer’s exit interview has been the subject of debate, causing the actress to address claims she appeared “awkward” when she was asked about axed housemate, Mickey Rourke.
Taking to social media, she shared several messages about how silence “says it all”.
