Gogglebox star, 25, emotional as they show off 6st weight loss milestone and vow ‘here’s to the next stone and MORE!’
Former Gogglebox star Amy Tapper has revealed she’s ticked off a major milestone in her weight loss journey as she announced she’s now lost six stone.
The 25-year-old shared the emotional milestone with fans on Instagram yesterday.
In a celebratory video, Tapper captured the moment she stepped on the scales and realised she had reached her impressive goal.
The TV personality, who left the Channel 4 show in 2018, was visibly delighted by her achievement as she jumped into her personal trainer’s arms.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Tapper took to Instagram to share her achievement, writing: “Wow wow wow 6 stone down!! I cannot believe it – I am so proud of myself.”
She promised followers she would share more details about her journey soon.
The reality star also paid tribute to her personal trainer, adding: “You are not only my personal trainer but truly a friend and more like a therapist – I couldn’t do any of this without you and your ongoing support.”
The video showed Tapper dressed in a white top with black gym leggings and trainers, her brunette hair styled in a high bun.
She appeared serious as she stepped onto scales positioned in her lounge but upon seeing the numbers, Tapper broke into a wide grin, throwing her hands in the air to celebrate.
She gave herself a clap before hugging her friend who was present for the special moment.
In her caption, she added: “Here’s to the next stone and more.”
Inevitably, it didn’t take long for fans to flood the comments with their congratulatory messages, including some very familiar faces.
Dancing on Ice winner and close pal Alex Murphy replied to the clip: “I’m so so proud of you,” followed by a series of love heart emojis.
Elsewhere, Tapper’s personal trainer also commented on the achievement: “Together, we got this. Week after week, you continue to work hard… Proud of you.”
Radio DJ and another former Dancing on Ice star, Adele Roberts, commented: “Go on Amy! Xxx,” again, followed by a love heart emoji.
And Sam Craske of Britain’s Got Talent dance troupe Diversity fame added: “Yes Amy!” (sic)
Tapper first documented her determination to lose weight in 2021. At that time, she had been trying various fad diets until she transformed her lifestyle during lockdown.
She managed to drop three dress sizes from 26 to 20 by reducing her portion sizes and dancing around her home.
The reality star soon began sharing her newfound confidence on social media.
Tapper has remained candid about her journey, including discussing the process of overhauling her wardrobe following her weight loss.
The body-confident star previously revealed her future ambitions regarding her weight loss journey.
In a past interview with Closer Magazine, Tapper vowed: “When I’ve dropped around 6-8st I’ll pose naked to celebrate!”
She added: “I’ve always thought I had a nice face but I never been happy with my body and I’m hell bent on turning that around.”
