‘It changes everything!’ Wynne Evans submits Strictly ‘dossier’ to BBC as sacked star looks to ‘clear his name’
Wynne Evans has submitted a dossier of evidence to the BBC in an attempt to clear his name amid an ongoing scandal surrounding comments made on the Strictly Come Dancing tour, a source has claimed.
The 53-year-old Welsh opera singer, famed for starring in the GoCompare adverts, was sacked from the Strictly live show after allegedly directing a crude sexual remark to Janette Manrara.
After being recorded making the comment, Evans was dropped from the tour and stepped down from his role at BBC Wales.
Soon after, it was revealed the singer was “going to a tribunal with the BBC” over his exile and would not “go down without a fight”.
The dossier, seen by The Sun, includes videos and screenshots that friends say prove his innocence.
A friend of the Go Compare singer said: “These past few months have been absolutely torrid for Wynne. He has had his name dragged through the mud.
“He feels he’s been thrown under a bus and left to fend for himself.”
