Matt Tebbutt issues caution to Craig Revel Horwood after boozy BBC Saturday Kitchen remark: ‘Seeing a whole new side to you!’
BBC Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt was forced to warn Craig Revel Horwood after the Strictly judge delivered a risqué double entendre during this weekend’s show.
The 51-year-old chef cautioned the Revel Horwood, 60, as they were taste testing a variety of exotic cocktails.
During the show, cocktail expert Carmen O’Neil prepared a selection of boozy drinks for Tebbutt, Revel Horwood, Tom Parker Bowles, Nisha Parmar and wine expert Helen McGinn.
Among them was a hot honey pickle margarita, which the panel sampled several glasses in resulting in some cheeky banter.

O’Neil explained the rim of the glass was coated with lime juice and dipped into the chilli salt – warning the others to avoid taking in too much chilli.
“Oh! That changes everything,” hooted Revel Horwood, who had made short work of the drink and the chilli coating.
Amid a chorus of guffaws, the cocktail expert exclaimed: “You don’t want to go the whole rim!”
The infamously catty judge sported a devious smile as he uttered: “Easy on the rim?”
A brief silence followed before someone laughed off screen and the room quickly exploded into hysterics once again at the outrageous comment, forcing Tebbutt to intervene.
He yelled: “10:40, Craig. 10:40!”
After delivering the pre-watershed caution, the host couldn’t help but laugh as he declared: “We’re seeing a whole new side to you.”
“I’ve got a show to do in Newcastle tomorrow! I’m going to be hungover as… heck,” Revel Horwood shot back as he swirled the remnants of the cocktail.
Viewers were quick to react to the risqué remark and shared their mirth on social media.
One joked on X: “It’s Carry On #SaturdayKitchen this morning!”
“Rim jokes at twenty to eleven. Never change, #saturdaykitchen!” another shared.
A third asked: “Was @CraigRevHorwood actually a little drunk on Saturday Kitchen Live? Pls don’t I’m dying! what a mood this has made my morning.”
Revel Horwood was evidently not the only one enjoying the drinks as McGinn announced “Carmen’s cocktails are lethal” before requesting a duet with the judge.
“We are so delivering to the nation this morning,” Tebbutt quipped as the pair finished belting out a song.
Later, the Strictly judge stepped in to “help” Tebbutt and Parker Bowles prefer this instalment’s food heaven for him.
“I’ll be your Queen, darling. Do you want me to get the premade one out of the oven?” Revel Horwood said.
