Danny Jones’ wife Georgia argues men ‘wired differently’ in recent podcast episode following kissing scandal
Georgia Jones has returned to her podcast with candid comments about how men and women are “wired differently”, just weeks after her husband Danny Jones was embroiled in a scandal involving I’m A Celebrity campmate Maura Higgins.
The former Miss England, who has been married to the McFly singer since 2014, shared her thoughts on gender differences in a recent episode of her Mum’s The Word podcast.
The episode was recorded on Valentine’s Day, before the BRIT Awards where Danny was reportedly spotted kissing former Love Island contestant Maura.
Georgia had been absent from her podcast since the incident but has now resumed her hosting duties alongside co-host Kelsey Parker.
During the podcast, Georgia expressed her views on the fundamental differences between men and women.
“I do think we’re wired differently as well. So I think women think a certain way and men just don’t think the same way. Which is fine, we are different,” she said.
She continued: “I think that’s the problem, we both need to realise the other one doesn’t think that way.”
To illustrate her point, Georgia shared a personal example about parenting their son Cooper.

“I sleep with the bedroom door open, even though the landing light is on for Cooper. It might disturb my sleep, and I want to make sure I definitely hear him if he wakes up. I couldn’t sleep knowing that I might not hear Cooper.”
The scandal erupted after Danny Jones, who won the latest series of I’m A Celebrity, was spotted kissing Maura Higgins at the BRIT Awards on March 3.
The Sun revealed that Danny, 39, and Maura, 34, shared what was described as a “drunken kiss” while Georgia was reportedly at home with their son.
Further reports claimed the pair were later seen sharing wine at London’s Nobu Hotel until 6am.
A video emerged showing them gazing at each other at the venue after their 3am encounter, before disappearing into a curtained-off area.
The incident occurred at Universal Music’s BRIT Awards afterparty.
Two weeks after the incident, Danny finally broke his silence with a public apology on Instagram.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation,” he wrote. “I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”
The Mirror reported that Georgia temporarily moved out of their family home following the scandal but has since returned to work through their marital issues.
She was recently spotted leaving a London recording studio after recording her podcast, with both her wedding band and engagement ring firmly on her finger.
Meanwhile, Maura Higgins has remained silent on the matter since the scandal broke.
In her podcast, Georgia also addressed communication challenges between partners, particularly regarding fathers’ mental health after having children.
She noted that when men express concerns in a “jokey” manner, it can be misinterpreted by their partners.
“So, we kind of just go, ‘Oh, they’re fine; they’re fine’. You know, we’re the ones that have had the baby, and this comes from no bad place from me, I totally understand,” Georgia explained.
She added: “I actually don’t think there is enough support for dads, especially in terms of mental health after having babies. But, I don’t know, I think because we just think, ‘you’re the strong ones and you’re gonna be okay’, which is a complete misconception of men.”
