
Stephen Dixon steps back from GB News Breakfast due to illness as guest co-star fills in
Stephen Dixon will be absent from the GB News Breakfast show alongside Ellie Costello tomorrow morning after revealing he had fallen ill via his social media account.
Taking to X, Stephen revealed: “Won’t be in on Thursday, not very well. Hopefully back in on Friday,” alongside two fingers crossed emojis.
Instead, Stephen will be replaced by Christopher Hope for the Thursday slot.
Fans of the presenter were quick to send their well wishes, as one replied on X: “Hope you get better soon! You will be missed.”
Another added: “Wishing you better Stephen!”
Costello replied: “I will miss you!! Wishing you better.”

Other concerned fans sent their well wishes, before someone else wrote: “The only days I watch is when you’re on! Disappointed you won’t be there but hope you get well soon sir!”
Over the weekend, Stephen was joined by former Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Rippon to host the show.
In a video released by Stephen, he said: “For just one morning the broadcast and Strictly star joins the breakfast team to bring you all the news as it happens.”
He also posted an excited video on Instagram and captioned it: “This is coming Sunday morning on GB News Breakfast.”
Rippon’s former Strictly partner Kai Widdrington also paid the pair a visit, leaving Stephen to post on his X account: “Fun morning on @GBNEWS. Great to be working with @TheAngelaRippon again and to meet @Kaiwidd.”
Stephen has previously been open about living with type one diabetes and previously said: “I have been a Type 1 diabetic since I was 17 which has been a challenge but a really positive one.
“It has never occurred to me to let it get in my way but it has to be respected. It gives me a great insight into my own health and a really enjoy talking about the technology which help keeps me going.
“It’s an exciting field to have a passion in, even if it wasn’t by my own choosing.”
