Dane Bowers, 45, unrecognisable as ’90s popstar shows off graphic results of ‘Turkey teeth’ makeover: ‘I look terrible’
Former Another Level singer Dane Bowers has revealed his dramatic transformation after jetting to Turkey for a new set of veneers and a hair transplant.
The 45-year-old pop star, who rose to fame in the 1990s boyband, shared the extensive dental procedure on Instagram, showing followers the entire process of getting what are commonly known as “Turkey Teeth”.
Bowers documented the journey from having his natural teeth filed down to tiny stubs, to receiving temporary veneers before his final crowns were fitted.
The singer’s transformation comes just as Another Level have announced their reunion for a string of shows.

In a series of videos, Bowers showed his lower teeth filed down to tiny stubs with bloody gums visible.
“Lower row shaved,” he captioned one particularly graphic image, adding a face palm emoji and “Damn.”
The procedure left him struggling to speak due to numbness from the anaesthetic.
“You can’t laugh about these things. I can’t talk… I look like a baddie in a Marvel movie,” he joked in one video.
Bowers travelled to Bodrum with a friend who was undergoing the same treatment, quipping: “We look so sexy.”
He later revealed: “I’ve got these fake teeth in for now, and I go back tomorrow to have the crowns fitted.”
Alongside his dental work, Bowers also underwent a hair transplant, which caused significant facial swelling.
The swelling forced him to wear sunglasses in some of his updates to conceal the side effects.
“And yes, I still look absolutely terrible,” he admitted after removing his dark glasses to reveal the extent of the swelling.
Bowers addressed fans who questioned why he would share such intimate details of the procedures.
“I’ve had more messages on these Stories than anything ever. People are asking me, ‘Why would I share this? Am I not embarrassed?’ Not at all,” he explained.
“My vanity is never that important. I don’t mind people seeing me at my worst, and I am most definitely at my worst right now.”
Bowers first rose to fame as a member of Another Level in the late 1990s, alongside Mark Baron, Bobak Kianoush, and Tyrone ‘T’.
The band achieved seven top 10 singles, including the number-one hit Freak Me in 1998, before splitting in 2000.
Just last week, it was revealed that Another Level was reuniting, though it appears only Bowers and Baron from the original lineup are involved.
Bowers has had several high-profile relationships, most notably with Katie Price from 1998 to 2000.
More recently, he made headlines for his relationship with Love Island’s Laura Anderson, which ended in 2022.
Price, who dated Bowers during her glamour model days as Jordan, once described him as the “love of her life”.
Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she reflected on their relationship, saying: “I was getting ready for an event the other night and it came on the radio, ‘Buggin’, Buggin’ Me.’ And I thought, that song was about me.”
Despite his dramatic dental and hair transformation, Bowers remained positive about the procedures. “It’s a procedure I wanted, and I know I’m going to be happy with the results. It’s all good, really,” he said.
