Danny Jones’ wife shares hopeful social media update amid reports she hasn’t ‘forgiven’ Brits kiss
Georgia Jones has returned to social media with a reflective post days after her husband Danny Jones issued an apology for kissing Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards afterparty.
The wife of the McFly star shared a simple Instagram post on Sunday featuring blooming daffodils with the caption: “SPRING.”
This marks her second social media activity since the incident earlier this month when Danny, 39, was filmed sharing a kiss with Love Island star Maura, 34.
Sources have revealed that Georgia is keen to avoid being seen as a “pushover” by forgiving Danny too quickly following his public apology on Friday.
Two days after making what sources described as a return to social media, Danny released a statement apologising to his wife.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately,” he wrote on Instagram.
The couple was pictured together on Tuesday in what appeared to be a tense outing.
It was their first public appearance since footage of Danny’s kiss with Maura emerged.
Sources told The Mail that the photos were a “last-ditch attempt by Danny’s team to preserve a united front.”
An insider has now revealed to The Sun that Georgia has been left feeling “uneasy” by the photos of their public outing.
“They are keen to work through things together and move on. But Georgia does not want people to think she’s a pushover and that all is forgiven already,” the source said.
It’s also been revealed that the couple, who have been married for 14 years, have taken a break and are living separately.
A friend of Georgia told The Mail: “She is furious not just with her husband’s actions, but with all the chaos this has brought to their lives, particularly for their young son Cooper.”
During their public appearance, Georgia was seen with “a face like thunder” and her left hand firmly in her pocket, hiding her wedding ring finger.
Sources close to Georgia described this as a “little act of defiance” from the “vulnerable mother-of-one.”
“All she wants to do is protect her boy from this mess,” a friend told the publication.
“It has been overwhelming and she needs time to process what has happened. Only then can she begin to talk about the future.”
The source added: “She is really struggling to get past the betrayal, but she wants to do what’s best for Cooper.”
Meanwhile, Maura Higgins has yet to comment on the situation and has reportedly flown to Los Angeles.
