Travis Kelce’s sister-in-law responds to ‘silly stories’ about Taylor Swift after Super Bowl defeat
Kylie Kelce has put to rest speculation about her first meeting with Taylor Swift during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
In a teaser clip released ahead of Wednesday’s episode, the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce confirmed she met Swift at the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Buffalo Bills on 21 January 2024.
The revelation came during a conversation with podcast host Cooper, who expressed surprise at the timing of their initial meeting.
The 32-year-old sister-in-law of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce addressed the widespread public interest in their first encounter, which had been the subject of considerable speculation.
“I’m not avoiding anyone. I’m more than happy to meet someone, especially someone that Travis is dating,” Kelce explained during the podcast appearance.
She dismissed the speculation about deliberately avoiding Swift as “silly”.
Kelce provided context for the timing, noting that she hadn’t met Travis himself until nearly a year into her relationship with Jason.

“And she’s busy,” Kelce quipped, referencing Swift’s packed Eras Tour schedule.
The meeting at the football game proved to be a positive experience, with Kelce confirming it was a “great” setting for their first encounter.
“It’s just silly to me that that’s like, a storyline that’s written,” she added.

Since their initial meeting, Kylie and Jason Kelce have shown strong support for Travis and Taylor’s relationship.
In April, Kylie expressed her enthusiasm during a Today show appearance, stating: “Ultimately, if Travis is happy, we’re happy.”
The couple demonstrated their support by attending multiple Eras Tour concerts, beginning with two consecutive shows at London’s Wembley Stadium in June.

They later expanded their Swift concert attendance to include family members, taking their daughters Wyatt, 5, and Elliotte, 3, along with Jason’s mother Donna to an October performance in Miami.
The relationship between Swift and Travis Kelce, which began in September 2023, has continued to flourish with Swift attending numerous Chiefs games.
The growing closeness between the families was further evidenced during the 2024 holiday season.
It was reported that Kylie and Jason Kelce, along with their three daughters, joined Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift and her family for Thanksgiving celebrations in Nashville.
The relationship has continued to strengthen, with Swift supporting Travis at significant moments, including his Super Bowl appearances in 2024 and 2025.
The couple’s journey began when Travis attempted to give Swift his phone number after attending her Eras Tour show at Arrowhead Stadium in July 2023, leading to their official relationship announcement two months later.
