‘I didn’t agree to this!’ Dick Strawbridge’s daughter, 10, snaps back as family make on-screen comeback
Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree are back on screens after their Channel 4 show came to an end in 2022.
The Escape to the Chateau family have remained in the public eye with their recent tours and their podcast, but are now back in front of the cameras.
The group have started using their YouTube channel to update fans about what they’ve been up to, sharing some clips of their recent chateau activities.
In the latest wholesome instalment, part of their new A Taste of the Chateau series, the family shared their Christmas baking session.
The couple, with their two children Arthur and Dorothy, were making savoury mince pies together.
Dorothy, 10, and Arthur, 11, were happy to get stuck in baking the festive goods with their parents.
Helping to weigh out ingredients, Dorothy was jokingly scolded by Strawbridge, 65, for pouring out too much.
However, after pouring some back into the jar, he later admitted: “We need twice that amount, Dorothy.”
“That’s what I said!” the schoolgirl screeched, frustrated at having been correct the first time.
Later, she hit back at her dad once again after Adoree, 46, instructed: “Roll your sleeves up.”
Strawbridge proceeded to grab his daughter’s arm and start rolling up her sleeves, to which she jokingly commented: “I didn’t agree to this!”
“Yes you did, pass me the other one,” Strawbridge insisted, adding: “You have no choice, you’re in the kitchen working,” as he rolled up the arms of her Christmas jumper.
Taking a smell of the mixture, Dorothy seemed delighted as she exclaimed: “That’s good, it smells like Christmas!”
Adoree soon instructed the group to use their hands to mix, which Dorothy protested with a disapproving look.
However, joining the others, she soon plunged her hands into the ingredients, grimacing at the feel of the mixture.
Laughing hysterically, Adoree commented: “Dorothy’s face, such a drama queen!”
The family proudly displayed their tray of mince pies before placing them in the oven.

In a recent episode of their podcast, Strawbridge labeled his son “too French” in a jokey jibe at Arthur, who has now spent most of his life in France.
As Strawbridge explained how the 11-year-old corrected his French grammar, he told listeners: “And I said, ‘You have become too French! You’ve just repeated the same word I’ve said with a different accent!'”
